HONOLULU, HI- The #21 Washington Huskies faced the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors in the semi-finals of the 2019 Diamond Head Classic. They were tested, but got the win 72-61 when it was all said and done.
Freshman Isaiah Stewart scored 26 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead UW (10-2). The backcourt duo of Quade Green and Nazaiah Carter combined for 21 points.
The Huskies assisted on 12 of 24 made field goals and forced 16 turnovers while shooting 21/29 from the free throw line.
Justin Webster led Hawaii (8-4) with 16 points off the bench. Starting forward Zigmars Raimo had a double-double of 15 points and 15 rebounds.
Washington faces Houston in the championship game tomorrow at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
