Jair Bolden scored 22 points to lead the Gamecocks (8-4). Sophomore A.J. Lawson added 14 points. SC held Virginia to 43.9% shooting, and forced 19 turnovers. This is the Gamecocks first win over a top ten team since 2016 when they knocked off No. 8 Texas A&M.
Mamadi Diakite scored 21 points to lead Virginia (9-2). The Cavs host Navy next Sunday. South Carolina hosts Stetson next Monday.
