NCAAM: Utah upsets No. 6 Kentucky in Vegas

LAS VEGAS, NV- The Utah Utes met No. 6 Kentucky at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas last night and snagged the 69-66 upset win.

Utah (9-2) was paced by Timmy Allen who scored 25 points and pulled down 9 rebounds in all 40 minutes of action.

Utes coach Larry Krystowiak: “Everyone has a different perspective looking at our program, and the only thing, it’s the same thing we talk to our team about, there’s social media and there’s pressure from outside because everybody has opinions.” “The only people whose opinion people need to worry about is the coaching staff, teammates, our inner circle.

A big key for the Utes was three-point shooting. Utah hit 8/15 attempts while UK was only 2/17 from downtown.

Freshman guard Tyrese Maxey led Kentucky (8-2) with 18 points. Both teams have huge games coming up on Saturday. Utah hosts No. 20 San Diego State, and Kentucky will stay in Vegas to play No. 5 Ohio State as part of the CBS Sports Classic.

NCAA Men's Basketball AP Top 25 Poll Week 7

The Associated Press updated the NCAA Men's Basketball Top 25 Poll today. The rankings have turned completely upside down this week, as Louisville fell to Texas Tech and Ohio State lost to Minnesota. Had the Buckeyes won that game, they would've been ranked No. 1. That opened the door for the 9-1 Kansas Jayhawks who are the new No. 1.
