#5 Houston got a road win today over Colorado 69-59 on the road. Leading the Cougars in scoring was J'Wan Roberts with 20 points, both LJ Cryer and Terrance Arceneaux had 15 points and Mylik Wilson had 7. For Colorado Julian Hammond III led the way with 22 points. Houston outrebounded Colorado 38-26 and went 9/15 from the line. Houston goes to 19-4 and Colorado falls to 9-14.

NBA: Kings demolish Hornets 140-110

The Sacramento Kings demolished the Charlotte Hornets 140-110 at home last night. It was a balanced effort for the Kings led by Buddy Hield with 26 points, Richaun Homes had 23, D'Aaron Fox with 21, Davion Mitchell the rookie with 19, and Harrison Barnes with 14. The Hornets were paced by LaMelo Ball with 24 points, and Gordon Hayward with 25. The Kings improve to 5-4 and the Hornets drop to 5-5.

2022 5-Star SF Emoni Bates has committed to Michigan State. Bates is the No. 1 ranked player in the HoopsCentral50 and is a huge pickup for Tom Izzo and staff. With Bates set to graduate high school in the summer of 2022, he could have a chance to jump straight to the NBA if the one-and-done rule is gone by then. Bates is super versatile at 6'7, and looks like a smaller version of Kevin Durant, with his ability to rise over defenders on his jumpers, drive and defend with his length. Bates held other offers from Kentucky, Michigan, Florida State and DePaul.

The #11 Seed Louisvillle Cardinals defeated the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 84-74 in the 2nd round of the 2022 ACC Tournament. Leading the Cardinals in scoring was Jarrod West with 20 points, Noah Locke had 16, Malik Williams had 14 and Sydney Curry had 12. For GT, Jordan Usher and Miles Kelly had 19 and Rodney Howard had 4. Louisville with play Virginia today.
